The International Society of Audiology (ISA) is an International Society which serves as a reference and communication center for all people working in Audiology, ‘The global home of Audiology’. The International Society of Audiology has recently gone through a restructuring procedure to open up membership for all people working in Audiology, either in health care or research, and to connect with all societies working in the field.
The Society’s mission is to facilitate the knowledge, protection and rehabilitation of human hearing, inclusive of the effects of pharmacological and surgical measures, but exclusive of matters relating to the technique of these measures. Its functions are described in its Statutes.
The Society serves as an advocate for the profession and for the hearing impaired throughout the world. Major activities include the biannual congress, publication of the scientific International Journal of Audiology and supporting the World Health Organization by advancing the interests of those working in Audiology or related fields, the hearing impaired and deaf community.
The ISA is constituted as a corporate body within the meaning of the Articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code, registered in the Swiss register du Commerce de Genève.
Major ISA Activities Include:
- Organization of a biannual congress on Audiology.
- Publication of the scientific International Journal of Audiology.
- Supporting the World Health Organization by advancing the interests of those working in Audiology or related fields, the hearing impaired and deaf community.
